Your hostess, Calpernia! |

PROFESSIONAL-QUALITY MAKEUP PRODUCTS
I've worked as an entertainer, model, and makeup artist for over a decade, and I've shared everything I've learned over the years in this video. I have also worked in high-stakes business settings, interacting with professionals and the public, and I show you how your makeup and skincare choices can be invaluable for your acceptance as female in daily situations.
I focus on common issues we face when starting out, with many examples of how masculine facial features can be minimized with strategic use of makeup.
Our most ambitious project so far is a major expansion of materials on makeup/skin care from tsroadmap.com. It also includes a summary of facial hair removal information from our comprehensive hair removal site.
The Becoming You program goes beyond simple makeup application. It offers the theory behind tricky cosmetics like contour and blush, illustrated with graphics and demonstrations of application.
Our new program takes you through the entire process, empowering you with the techniques you'll use for the rest of your female life. Its like having your own makeover artist guide you through the process, all for less than you'd pay for a makeover.
Following in the footsteps of our popular video on finding your female voice, we upgraded our camera equipment to bring you a professional-quality program covering all aspects of finding your female face.
By the time we finished filming all the tips and the three makeovers, we had so much information that it couldn't fit on just one of our DVDs. This is the most in-depth resource for women in transition looking for answers concerning appearance. Becoming You doesn't stop at cosmetics--included are sections with advice on the following:
Assessing and caring for your skin
Dealing with scalp hair loss and hairline issues
Managing hair removal
Clothing, shoes, jewelry and accessories
Dealing with the emotions and social situations surrounding the process of transitioning
Lots of positive thoughts and encouragement along the way!

Comprehensive menus & submenus Because it contains so many tips and tricks, we've created a detailed navigation menu system for the DVD that allows for easy movement through the vast amounts of information in this project:

Most makeup instruction available in the TG community is designed for the women who "dress up" for kicks. That's cool, but we are focusing on being accepted as female in day-to-day life. This is designed for women like you, who wish to have a smooth transition into living full-time in mainstream society.
While the tone of this video is upbeat and fun, I know this isn't just fun and games for you. You're making a serious commitment to transition. You want to be accepted as female in work and social settings, not just at home in front of a mirror or in a dark bar on weekends.
We also know you are working to save every penny for transition expenses-- we've been there ourselves! Some sites out there are geared toward selling overpriced prepackaged makeup kits to part-timers with a lot of disposable income and no plans for a full transformation. We both know you need more than a cookie-cutter approach. Your unique needs can't be shoehorned into some "one-size-fits all" makeup collection. We're interested in showing you how to get the most out of ANY cosmetic you choose, and how to choose colors and types of coverage that meet your specific needs.
We know what you need to get started, because we've had time to sort out what's good and bad, the essentials and the unnecessary hype. This video will quickly pay for itself, saving you time and money so you can focus on what's really important-- your blossoming femininity.
Examples of TS-specific topics
Brow shaping and hairstyles that can go either way before you're full-time
Skin care while getting permanent facial hair removal
Building confidence by getting feedback and going out before going full-time

Kitty Tips Even though we take your transition seriously, we also know makeup, like life, should be fun! Throughout the video, special guest kitty Renée (who made an unexpected appearance in our voice video) pops up with fun tips and tricks. |

You'll see full demonstration of application from start to finish on a woman before hormones and FFS, a woman after SRS, and Calpernia herself.
Makeover 1:
For inspiration to those of you just starting out, we start with a model who hasn't started hormones, growing out hair, or facial hair removal. Our model goes through every step as we explain, from cleansing and hair removal, through facial hair cover and makeup application, to makeup removal.
Makeover 2:
Then I do Andrea's makeup from start to finish, to show a very subtle powder-only technique that's great for a day look.
Makeover 3:
Finally, I do my own makeup, to show some more advanced techniques, including lipstick and liquid eyeliner.
